The Crystal Castles Show.
My Friday night was epic thanks to Crystal Castles, Chromeo, and a few audience members I had the pleasure of enjoying some great music with. It was basically one big dance party at the Congress Theater! I let myself get sucked up to the front of the Crystal Castles crowd even though I knew my hair would get trashed. I also had a guy spill his entire beer on me...didn't care about that either. People around me kept falling, but all I could think about was being two inches away from Alice Glass...(I helped them up.) This random girl also told me to hold her phone while she kneeled on the floor to get the rest of her shit. For some reason, I just seemed like a person who could be trusted. I knew my earrings were going to be a problem in this crowd; I should have known better beforehand, so I just took them off and threw them on the ground. By the time Crystal Castles' set had ended, my hair was everywhere and I was covered in beer/other people's and my own sweat/God knows what else. I got out of the madness to find my friend and split a Gatorade. We decided for Chromeo we could hang back. There were soo many awesome costumes to see. There was this one guy who was actually Carole from "Where the Wild Things Are", Waldo, Flo from the Progressive commercial, Mad Hatter, a gigantic bunny costume, legends of the hidden temple costume....the list goes on. As for myself, I didn't dress up. I tried to find an outfit before the concert, but failed. I kind of regret not wearing a costume though. Anywhooo, Chromeo's set was pretty great as well. There was this guy in front of me that was pretty kool and he kept turning towards me and my friend to dance. I got really strong whiff of some ganga, which was great. After Chromeo, we dipped. Overall, it was a pretty bad ass way to bring in Halloween. The best thing is, it was FREE!! =]] I wonder if Boyz Noize was any good....oh well.

Just Another Reason For Me to Love Halloween.
This would be my second year experiencing the wonders of free burrito day at Chipotle on Halloween! So if you love Chipotle like I do, grab some aluminum foil and take your toosh on down to a Chipotle near you. (Yes, I said toosh.)
Some people have gotten a little crazy with the aluminum foil thing...for instance:
Go crazy.

Hoodie Buddie

Camille enjoying the Hoodie Buddie.
Today when my sister walked in my room stoked as hell. She had discovered the Hoodie Buddie. A Hoodie Buddie is a hoodie with ear phones attached to the draw strings and an iPod compatible plug inside the pocket. I had never seen/heard of any hoodie like this before, so I just thought I should put that out there. The hoodie was like 19 bucks. She got it at KMart of all places. There are different designs and colors for these hoodies.
Personally, I wouldn't wear one, but I do admit it is pretty darn convenient. The quality of the hoodie isn't all that great though, but according to my sister, the ear phones have good sound quality, so if you're looking for a hoodie and earphones all in one, buy it.
As for taking care of the hoodie, it is washable. The only thing is, you can't just throw it in the dryer like the rest of your hoodies; it has to air dry, or else the ear buds will melt. Bummer. I don't know why but as soon as I heard "Hoodie Buddie" I automatically thought about Snuggies.
"Hoodie Buddie"-The hoodie with earphones! and "Snuggie"-A blanket with sleeves! Maybe I just can't get over Snuggies...I don't think I will. Anywhoo.

UPDATE:
Apparently, I won't be celebrating New Years Eve with Greg anymore because according to my weekly Chicago Reader: Early Warnings e-mail, it's SOLD OUT! FML.
So hopefully some miraculous thing will happen where somehow the tickets just land on my lap or something. If not, no biggie. I guess you can't win em' all!

Keebz Cares About Boobie Cancer and You Should Too!
Recently this past Sunday, I walked in a breast cancer awareness event. I have to say, it was a pretty awesome feeling. Plus, I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful scene right by Lake Michigan. The weather was perfect. It seems like everywhere I go, there's SOMETHING talking about breast cancer...I guess that's the point to make people more "aware". Today, in my Human Sexuality class, our teacher asked why there was so much stuff around campus about breast cancer and what it meant to us. Mostly everyone said the same thing. We do it to "support" breast cancer, more importantly the resources in order to research breast cancer and possible cures. Our teacher also asked everyone in the class if they ever do self-examinations...only one or two people out of a classroom of 40 people raised their hand. That's saying something without saying something. (I was not one of the people to raise my hand, btw) Don't quote me on this, but my teacher also told us that 1 in 8 women will get breast cancer...like i said don't quote me...I would imagine how sad it would be to get diagnosed with breast cancer, or any kind of cancer for that matter. I think being "aware" not only means to know what's going on with breast cancer, or showing your support by walking in an event, but actually making changes to try to prevent it. Start doing those self-examinations every month (every menstrual cycle for women) and get those mamograms if you're over 35. Take those steps and we will be a few steps closer to being a more breast cancer-free world!
Today was "Paint the Campus Pink Day" today at Roosevelt. If you wore enough of the color pink, you got a free breast cancer awarness shirt. I had to get one. Not just because of the cause, but my favorite color is pink. I think it's wonderful.

Since they only had X-Large shirts left by the time I got there, I decided to use it as a night gown.=]

Who Are The Disco Biscuits?
Sorry I'm late and not all hipster and shit, but I only happen to have one The Disco Biscuits song on my iPod and I couldn't even tell you what the name of it is. I am bringing them up because I noticed that they will be playing at the Auditorium Theater, which is attached to my school. (Roosevelt University) From what little I've heard of them, The Disco Biscuits are pretty decent. Also, Holy Fuck and Glitch Mob will be joining them for this show. I have one song from Holy Fuck and as you probably guessed, yes...it's "Lovely Allen" I have never tried to listen to anything else from them, so I truly cannot call myself a real fan. As for Glitch Mob, I have never listened to them period. These groups are people I wouldn't mind taking a deeper look into...
Hopefully, poor Roosevelt students like me can get a discount on some tickets because this is a show I would want to go to. It will open my mind to some different shit, I guess you could say...the only thing is, they're going to be here on Halloween, which means I'm not going to go seeing that there will be sooo much other stuff going on...because you know...it's Halloween.
So anyways, I'm gonna stop putting off this English paper.
Haha ironic "Google Magic" find.
